Today was our Enhanced Learning Science Fair! We had 32 amazing projects on display, showcasing our students’ curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and passion for learning. From innovative experiments to in-depth research, each project reflected the hard work, dedication, and scientific inquiry of our Grade 4, 5, and 6 students. Thank you to all of our participants for sharing your learning and inspiring others with your outstanding work! 🔬🧪✨

Grade 1B and 1R celebrating Camp Day yesterday! Classrooms were transformed into a campsite as students participated in camp-themed literacy and numeracy activities and enjoyed cozying up with a good book by the “campfire”! 🏕️

Grade 4 Bike Ride was a success today! 🚴🚴‍♀️

Grade 4s had a blast at Calgary Farmyard on their field trip yesterday! 🐏🌾🐷

Grade 5s were off to the park today! Lots of fun and smiles! ☀️

1R took some time today to reflect on this amazing year & think about where we want to go in the future! We know these tiny humans will achieve all their big dreams 💛

3 Lacroix spent the WHOLE day building and coding LEGO Robotics! Our science curriculum has grade 3 explore creating simple coding instructions that result, in this case, in making the robots move, light up or make sounds! So much fun to be had in learning!

Congratulations to our Grade 6 Citizenship Award winners! This award, sponsored by the Alberta Teachers’ Association, recognizes students who exemplify the St. Mary’s Way through their words and actions. Recipients are active contributors to our school community and demonstrate a commitment to making a positive impact within the wider community as well. Three students are selected each year based on their character, contributions, leadership, and dedication to living the values of the St. Mary’s Way. Congratulations to our 2025–2026 Citizenship Award recipients!

Grade 5 Dafoe and Spackman had an amazing time at the Hangar Museum yesterday! ✈️

Our Grade 1 students had an unforgettable day exploring the zoo! 🦁🐒🦒 From observing amazing animals to making real-world connections to our learning, the day was filled with curiosity, excitement, and discovery. A huge thank you to our wonderful parent volunteers for joining us and helping make this field trip a success. We couldn’t have done it without you!

A special thank you to Constable Friesen for thinking of our St. Mary's family while visiting the Vatican. During a recent personal trip, she generously brought back a beautiful piece of artwork depicting the image found behind the altar in St. Peter's Basilica. This thoughtful gift serves as a meaningful reminder of our connection to the universal Church and the rich faith tradition we share as Catholics. We are deeply grateful for your generosity and for bringing a small piece of this sacred and historic place back to our school community. Thank you for your kindness and for helping to enrich the faith life of St. Mary's. This beautiful gift will be appreciated by students, staff, and visitors for many years to come.
