Mr. Harding makes gym so much fun! Talk about stewardship of resources, as he has found interesting ways to repurpose old volleyballs!

We are grateful for the support of the Foothills Kinette Club toward our Inclusive & Accessible Playground Project. This playground will benefit not only our student body but community members as well, and we appreciate the support of our Okotoks and Foothills community in making this project come to life.

Mrs Dafoe really made a splash in Science as the Grade 5s learned about the properties of air and had an introduction to forces! In a demo, she flipped a cup of water covered by paper over Mrs. Gustafson’s head! CHECK OUT WHAT HAPPENED…..5D also learned about scientific error!

Thank you to our Veterans for their service and sacrifice. Our Grade 3 classes hosted a beautiful Remembrance Day Liturgy to honour the brave men and women who served and are serving our country. We were blessed to have Corporal White join us and share why it is important to remember. Throughout Veterans’ Week, our school has been busy with activities that express gratitude and remembrance.

Our teachers are so busy with interviews, we want to provide them with a warm meal made from the heart! Throughout Veterans’ Week, St. Mary’s students have been involved in many activities honouring the military service of our country. We look forward to seeing you at our Remembrance Day Assembly at 10:30 today!

Today Earth Rangers came to visit! Earth Rangers is a program that empowers youth to become environmental leaders in their homes, schools and communities. We are all called to be Stewards of the Earth and praise and glorify God as we care for creation.

Do you ever wonder what careers this generation will aspire to? Were we this creative when we were little? I’m sure their careers will be amazing if their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) creations are any indication! STM is building problem solvers and critical thinkers!

These Grade 6 Students told me they were learning about INTERMOLECULAR BONDING! Our Grade 6 classes joined together for a cool science demonstration, which was team taught by our amazing Gr. 6 Teachers! We are so blessed to have collaborative teachers who inspire, engage and work hard to help students understand and love learning!

Jesus, in the Blessed Sacrament is a sacred and holy gift! We were grateful to have Adoration at st. Mary’s today. Thank you to Father Domingo who also shared the sacrament of Reconciliation with some of our students today!
