Mrs. Lacroix’s class made pysanky eggs using acrylic paint, sharpies and faux eggs! They learned about this Ukrainian tradition and the meaning of specific symbols, created a plan, then set to work! They were laser focused and so pried of their creations! Bonus: no cracked eggs and the fire department didn’t need to be called!
3H brought history to life yesterday as they re-enacted the Last Supper. Through this meaningful experience, students deepened their understanding of Holy Week, showing respect, reflection, and care as they stepped into this important moment. We are so proud of the thoughtfulness and reverence they showed - what a powerful way to learn and connect!

There’s nothing better than seeing our staff jump right into the joy of childhood 💛 At recess earlier this week, one of our incredible EAs went above and beyond - organizing and joining in on a giant game of tag with our students! Laughter filled the playground as she helped create a moment of pure fun, connection, and community. It’s these little moments that make such a big impact. Thank you for bringing energy, care, and joy to our students each and every day!

We are so proud of the way they participated and shared their gifts with our school community. A heartfelt thank you to Father Vijay for the special church tour, where our students had the opportunity to learn more about everything that happens behind the scenes of Mass - it was such a meaningful and memorable experience! Thank you as well to all the parents and families who joined us and supported our students. Your presence made the celebration even more special.
Congratulations to St.Mary's Highwood Lions Music Festival Choir who earned a Distinction award for their performance yesterday. What an awesome experience!
🍀 Happy St. Patrick’s day! 🍀 Today brought a little extra magic to classrooms all throughout the school today! Students designed and built shepherd’s staffs to help St. Patrick chase away the snakes, tackled some St. Patrick’s Day math, sorted Lucky Charms in numeracy, and got creative building leprechaun traps in hopes of catching a bit of that famous leprechaun luck! And just when we thought the day couldn’t get any more exciting… a pesky leprechaun stopped by and even tied our teacher to a pole! Safe to say there were lots of laughs and plenty of St. Patrick’s Day fun around the school today 🌈
